What You’ll Need:
- Polyacryl gel (in your preferred shade)
- Dual forms or nail forms
- Slip solution (or 70% isopropyl alcohol as an alternative)
- Nail file and buffer
- UV/LED lamp
- Base coat and top coat
- Nail brush and spatula
Step-by-Step Guide:
- Prep Your Nails Start by cleaning your nails thoroughly to remove any dirt or oils. Shape your nails using a file and push back your cuticles. Buff the nail surface gently to create a rough texture for better adhesion.
- Apply a Base Coat Apply a thin layer of base coat and cure it under the UV/LED lamp for 30-60 seconds.
- Prepare the Polyacryl Gel Squeeze a small amount of polyacryl gel onto the spatula. Use the spatula to place the gel onto the dual form or nail form.
- Shape the Gel Dip the brush into the slip solution, then gently pat and shape the gel to fit the form. Ensure the thickness is even and the edges are smooth.
- Apply the Form to Your Nail Press the form with the gel onto your natural nail. Remove any excess gel that squeezes out around the edges using the brush.
- Cure the Gel Place your hand under the UV/LED lamp and cure for 60-120 seconds, depending on your lamp’s strength.
- Remove the Form Gently lift the form off your nail. If using dual forms, they should pop off easily once cured.
- Shape and Buff File and shape the hardened polyacryl gel to your desired nail shape. Buff the surface for smoothness.
- Apply Top Coat Finish by applying a top coat and curing it under the lamp for a shiny, durable finish.

- Use a minimal amount of slip solution to prevent thinning the gel too much.
